Many console commands have changed or been removed for DST. A type of server called "Friends Only" allows a server to be created whereby the only people who can join have to be on the hosting player's Steam friends list. Dedicated, player-hosted and LAN servers are available, and chat is global or local depending on the server admin's preference. Many items have been balanced or removed in order to keep the game fair. and if you decide to start Adventure Mode, then your Sandbox Mode is "paused" until you finish / fail Adventure Mode.Don't Starve Together has multiple ways to play with others: LAN, network, and matchmaking play. and for the sake of accuracy: even the singleplayer version of the game ends if you die without any resurrection item / mechanism active or if you decide to teleport to a new world. You don't have these options in the singleplayer version of the game. You're sent back to the character selection screen and your previous stuff is cleared. Wilderness mode, has no revival items / options and as soon as you die, it's over. Endless mode, as the name suggests, is indeed a non-resetting world where you can always just resurrect at the spawn portal. Survival Mode for example ends as soon as you die and fail to revive within a given amount of time. It seems that you and the guy before are either unaware of the available game modes in Don't Starve Together or you don't really understand the meaning of "never ending". You can go and play 1000+ days in single too.īeing able to survive a large amount of days doesn't meant it's never ending. Guy said it's simply never ending and I added as in sandbox mode, which is true. Don't Starve Together, at the moment, has no grander goal than surviving as much as possible. Not true, Don't Starve can actually be "completed" ( by teleporting to a new world and keeping your entire inventory + you have Adventure Mode ). ![]()
